Welcome!

Hello! Welcome to my blog! It seems so strange to me to have one to write on: so far I have always been reading and leaving comments on those of my friends and I had never thought to create my own blog. Honestly my abilities in informatics are quite limited, something that really stopped me from getting my own blog, but I must confess I was neither interested in learning how to create it and fill in texts, images and links. Actually the problem is that I don’t like the core idea blogs are based on, that is to make your thoughts, observations and personal experiences public and as a consequence to share them with a lot of people who have the opportunity to leave comments. If there is something I want to talk about I prefer calling my close friends and discuss it with them rather than writing a post: in this way I can express my self freely without worrying about being at any cost politically correct or about mentioning the real names of other people without ambiguities. In other words I felt that writing on a blog meant not to be completely honest, not completely “real” as I can’t forget I’m talking to a wide range of people and I have to respect netiquette.
I must admit that having a blog has positive aspects as well, for instance it is a good way to keep in touch with friends who live far from you and that you meet rarely and it is also a way to improve your English. Anyway I’m still convinced that if it wasn’t for Mrs Guth I would never and ever have a blog of my own and I would just keep on visiting the blogs of my friends (in fact I have the tendency not to read the blogs of the people I don’t know because I have the impression of “entering someone else’s house without having being invited”).
As you can see the title of my blog is not very original: I decided to put my name and surname because I though it would be easier for me and for my peers to remember, furthermore I couldn’t get inspiration last Wednesday in the laboratory so I really put the first thing that came to my mind but as soon as I find a more appealing title I will change it!

Finally, in spite of all my insecurities and suspiciousness towards writing on a blog I promise I will make a good use of this virtual space and that I will try to be always as honest and clear as possible. In the next days I’m going to insert some useful links and I will update my profile, meanwhile I hope you will enjoy reading my posts.
